Deeside Timberframe, one of the UK’s leading timberframe suppliers, have a great opportunity for a Design Technician / Senior Design Technician to join their busy Design Team.
With office and manufacturing facilities in both Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire and Throsk in Stirling, the successful candidate can be based within either office.
Ideally applicants will have previously held a similar position within the timber frame industry and have experience in a wide variety of project types.
Duties will include:
- Produce timberframe kit drawings from architects’ information, engineering and agreed specifications to allow the factory to manufacture and site to erect.
- Ensure timberframe design and associated tasks are completed within schedule / programmed timescales.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and any sub-contractors during design and manufacturing process.
Required:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD/Consultec or similar CAD based framing software.
