Contracts Supervisor

Deeside Timberframe’s client base consists of housebuilders, housing associations, construction firms and self-build customers with a combination of supply only, supply and erect and full kit packages.

Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Contracts Supervisor to join our team. You will be based out of our Stonehaven office and will predominantly, but not exclusively, work at sites across the Northeast of Scotland, responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery and erection of timber-frame projects.

Primary responsibilities:

• Management of health and safety on sites. Support will also be provided by Group HSQE resource.
• Programming of timber frame erect projects. Provide updates and monitor progress.
• Regular liaison with the line manager / director, design, procurement, surveying, and estimating staff on issues as necessary.
• Contribute to CVR monitoring by surveying staff.
• Management of subcontractors on site.
• Co-ordination of materials being delivered to site. This may include roughing materials, finishing materials, and window installation.
• Produce weekly site reports and completion of paperwork consistent with agreed systems and processes including checking, handover and signing off kits.
• Attend pre-award, pre-start, and site progress meetings.
• Attend DTL internal management meetings and project specific meetings.
• Ensure quality of build and erect procedures.
• Contribute and assist with any growth plans and future developments of the business.

Skills and experience required:

• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Excellent knowledge of timber-frame construction methods, and supervisory experience within timber-frame construction.
• Programming and planning, experience with Asta Powerproject preferred.

Qualifications:

• Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or above
• Appointed Person: Lifting Operations (preferred)
