Bancon Group is proud to announce it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Culture Transformation Project of the Year category at this year’s cHeRries Awards.
The recognition highlights the significant progress made across the business as part of its ongoing culture transformation programme, an initiative driven by collaboration, shared purpose, and the collective efforts of colleagues across every part of the Group.
The cHeRries Awards celebrate excellence in HR, people development and organisational culture across the North of Scotland. Being named a finalist in this category reflects Bancon’s commitment to evolving into a modern, high-performing and people-focused organisation.
Over the past 12-18 months, Bancon has introduced a wide-ranging programme of initiatives designed to strengthen engagement, support employee development, and embed its core values of One Team, We Care, We Trust, Sustainability and Development. These have included leadership development programmes, enhanced employee engagement channels, wellbeing initiatives, and improved communication across the business.
Central to the transformation has been a focus on empowering employees, encouraging collaboration, and creating a culture where people feel valued, supported and connected to the Group’s wider purpose. Importantly, the progress achieved to date has been shaped by input and participation from teams across construction, housebuilding, timber frame manufacturing and support functions.
Donna Fraser, Group HR Director, People & Culture, said:
“This recognition reflects a genuine team effort across the entire business. Our culture transformation has been built on the ideas, energy and commitment of our people. While we are proud of the progress made, this is very much an ongoing journey as we continue to build a culture that supports both our people and our long-term ambitions.”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in June 2026.
Bancon Group would like to thank the judges for this recognition and extend its appreciation to everyone across the business who has contributed to reaching this milestone. This achievement reflects a shared commitment to continuous improvement and a culture that is being shaped by the collective efforts of the entire team.
